Keep Your Smile Bright With Teeth Cleaning At Zimbi Dental

Dental Cleanings in Eden UT – FC

A healthy smile starts with proper oral care. At Zimbi Dental, we focus on preventive care to ensure long-term oral health. Our services include professional teeth cleaning and examinations to remove plaque and stains while detecting potential dental issues early. Led by Dr. Chad Wagstaff, we are known for our gentle and thorough cleanings.

Why Do Regular Teeth Cleaning & Exams Matter

One of the major components of proper oral health care involves comprehensive dental cleanings. Despite your daily brushing and flossing, food can remain on the teeth, hardening into plaque and tartar, which can cause cavities, gum disease, and other dental problems. Professional cleaning and examinations address these issues by:

  • Preventing cavities and tooth decay
  • Preventing gum disease
  • Removing surface stains
  • Identifying early signs of oral diseases
  • Ensuring fresh breath

What to Expect During Your Teeth Cleaning Appointment

At Zimbi Dental, you will receive a thorough teeth cleaning. Our hygienists gently remove plaque and tartar buildup using specialized equipment and polish your teeth to eliminate surface stains and smooth the enamel. We will also provide personalized oral hygiene tips so you can maintain a healthy smile between visits.

Our Services

1. Prophylaxis Cleaning

This preventative cleaning is recommended for everyone with healthy gums. During a prophylaxis cleaning, the hygienist will:

  • Remove accumulated plaque and tartar above the gum line.
  • Clean teeth to remove minor staining.
  • Check for early signs of dental issues.

Prophylaxis cleanings every six months are recommended to maintain oral health and prevent dental problems.

2. Scaling and Root Planing

This deep-cleaning procedure is recommended for patients with gum disease. It includes:

  • Scaling: Removing plaque and tartar from above and below the gum line, including periodontal pockets.
  • Root Planing: Smoothing the tooth roots to allow gums to reattach and prevent future bacterial growth.

This non-surgical procedure can treat gum disease and restore healthy gums.

3. Periodontal Maintenance

This follow-up treatment is provided after gum disease treatment. Periodontal maintenance cleanings, usually every three to four months, are crucial for maintaining gum health. It includes:

  • Monitoring periodontal health.
  • Removing plaque and tartar.
  • Providing regular periodontal disease maintenance.

Consistent periodontal maintenance is essential for patients treated for gum disease.

4. Gross Debridement

Gross debridement may be necessary if a patient has neglected their oral health for an extended period. This procedure partially removes plaque and tartar buildup to prepare for further dental treatment. It includes:

  • Removing heavy plaque and tartar deposits to allow for a thorough examination of the teeth and gums.
  • Assessing the overall health of the teeth and gums.

Gross debridement is a preliminary procedure that enables further dental treatments and ensures good oral care.

Comprehensive Dental Exams

Your cleaning appointment will also include a dental examination. Dr. Chad Wagstaff will examine your oral health for cavities, gum disease, and other issues. If necessary, we will take digital X-rays for a clearer view. We prioritize early detection and treatment to help you maintain a healthy smile.
